At around 1½ years old, Dixie is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate. She’s still got a little puppy left in her, which means she’s goofy, fun-loving, and always ready to make the most of every day. But when the excitement is over, all she really wants is to snuggle up with her favorite people.

She’s incredibly food motivated, loves learning new things, and is eager to please, making continued training both fun and rewarding.

When it comes to playtime, Dixie is all in! She’s a vocal, enthusiastic wrestler who absolutely loves playing with other dogs. She would thrive with a confident canine companion who enjoys rough-and-tumble play and can match her energy.

Because Dixie can be protective of high-value items like food, bones, and special treats from other dogs, she’ll do best in a home that understands how to manage those situations thoughtfully. With a little structure and supervision, she does wonderfully and continues to blossom every day.
