Meet Roxy
Gentle, resilient, and searching for a peaceful place to belong 💛

Roxy is looking for a new home through absolutely no fault of her own.

Her family has been trying since November to safely rehome her after conflicts developed between Roxy and their older female dog. Despite multiple incidents where the other dog attacked Roxy, she has remained a sweet, gentle girl through it all. The dogs now have to stay separated for safety, and after reaching out to rescues and shelters, her family has unfortunately been told that most places are completely full.

What makes this situation especially heartbreaking is that Roxy is truly a really good dog.

🐾 About Roxy:
• 4 years old
• Spayed pit mix
• Approximately 50 lbs
• Up to date on vaccinations
• Crate trained
• Leash trained
• Great in the car
• Does well at grooming appointments
• Has done well at doggy daycare and boarding
• Dog friendly
• Previously lived with cats and children

Roxy came from an abusive situation before being rescued, so she can initially be shy and timid when meeting new people. With unfamiliar visitors, she may hide at first while she figures out whether she’s safe—but once she settles in, her sweet, curious personality begins to shine through.

She has never shown aggression toward people. In public settings, she tends to be cautious but is always very well behaved.

Roxy is the kind of dog who simply needs patience, understanding, and a calm environment where she can feel secure. Once she trusts you, she becomes deeply loving, loyal, and incredibly easy to adore.
