Sometimes you meet a dog and immediately wonder how anyone could have ever let him down.

Ralph is one of those dogs. ❤️

This sweet boy, estimated to be around 7 years old, was found standing in the middle of a road deep in the countryside.

He was painfully skinny.

The pads of his feet were burned and blistered, as though he’d been walking for far too long trying to find somewhere safe.

And yet, after everything…

Ralph is the SWEETEST baby boy. 🥹❤️

✨ About Ralph:

🐾 Approximately 7 years old
🐾 Around 35 pounds, but would do best at 40-45 pounds
🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Up to date on vaccines
🐾 Has neuter appointment
🐾 HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! 🙌
🐾 Gentle and incredibly affectionate
🐾 Sweet as pie
🐾 Ready for a family to love him

We cannot say enough good things about this boy.

Ralph has such a gentle spirit. He’s kind, loving, and seems genuinely grateful for every bit of affection he receives.

He doesn’t care about anything fancy.

He just wants someone to love him.

A soft bed instead of a road.

A full belly instead of wondering where his next meal will come from.

A family who will look at that sweet face every day and remind him that he never has to search for home again.

And after seeing the condition Ralph was in when he was found, we were preparing ourselves for another difficult diagnosis.

Then we got the news…

HEARTWORM NEGATIVE!!! 🙌❤️

Praise God!

Finding out this sweet boy doesn’t have to endure heartworm treatment was the BEST news.

Now it’s time for the next chapter.

At around 7 years old, Ralph still has so much love and life ahead of him. He’s the perfect size at roughly 45–50 pounds, he’s friendly with other dogs, and he has one of the sweetest personalities you could ever ask for.

We don’t know how long Ralph wandered.

We don’t know where he came from.

But we do know where we want him to go next…
